1983年安徽大学物理系毕业，理学学士；
1990年中国科技大学物理系硕士毕业，理学硕士。
1997年德国柏林自由大学访问学者；
1999年香港科技大学访问学者。
1990-2000 年，中国科学技术大学，国家同步辐射实验室，助理研究员 - 副研究员；
1996 年后，负责时间分辨实验线站工作。
1997 年曾在德国柏林自由大学做访问学者；
1999 年曾在香港科技大学做访问学者。
2001-2003 年，中国科学技术大学，量子信息重点实验室，副研究员负责量子密码研究室工作；
2004 年以后，中国科学技术大学，量子信息重点实验室，教授。
